These are difficult and unusual times in CPPS and across the globe.  Despite the unusual situation, we are working to make sure that student learning continues during our closure.  Beginning Monday, March 23rd we will begin “At-Home Learning” for all students. The goal of these activities is to continue to allow students to develop the skills necessary to keep them ready for their return to school on April 27th.  Also, in credit-bearing classes, the work that students do will allow teachers to assess progress in the skills needed for earning credits in those courses.

How Do Children Get The Schoolwork During the Closure?

\r\n

Davis Elementary: Students will be able to access their assignments in the following way:

\r\n

Grades Pre-K, Kindergarten and 1st-- ”At-Home Learning” packets will be available for pickup each Monday, March 23 & 30, April 13 & 20 from 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. The expectation is that each week, students will return their completed “At-Home Learning” packets when they pick up their next week’s assignment.

\r\n

Grades 2nd-5th-- “At-Home Learning” will be delivered through Google Classrooms.  Students will need technology (see below) and have had instructions from their classroom teachers on how to access online.

\r\n

Sager and CPHS (All classes/All grades):  Student “At-Home Learning” will be delivered using Google Classroom online.  A week’s worth of assignments will be uploaded each Monday (except during Spring Break).  Students will turn in assignments as determined by each teacher.

How Are Assignments Graded? How are grades posted?

\r\n

All assignments during the closure are graded as either a Pass or Fail.  Students are expected to complete and turn in assignments as determined by the teacher and will be assessed weekly by the teacher.

Teachers will post grades in Skyward as they do regularly.  Parents can access the grades through the parent portal.
