The College Place High School track will remain closed through the week of July 22nd as work crews complete the resurfacing project. The track, originally installed when the school opened in 2012, is being restored to its original high-quality condition. This project was approved earlier this year by the CPPS Board of Directors.
The CPPS Board is committed to identifying and addressing facility needs within the district, using school district funds for replacements and upgrades. Recently, the district upgraded the original sound systems in both the CPHS gymnasium and football stadium to restore their original quality. Additionally, heating and air conditioning units across the district have been replaced to ensure an exceptional learning environment for CPPS students.
As the Board prepares to adopt its 2024-2025 budget on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, it will prioritize not only facility maintenance but also improvements in educational curriculum and technology, Agriculture Science facilities, Band and Choir programs, and athletics. College Place Public Schools takes pride in its responsible management of public funds, enabling it to provide top-notch facilities and opportunities for students.
